The 6 Sacred Days of Hajj

A step-by-step spiritual guide to the journey of a lifetime from 8th to 13th Dhul Hijjah.

Day 1 8th Dhul Hijjah

Day 1: Day of Tarwiyah

Pilgrims enter Ihram from their hotel in Makkah and proceed to the blessed tent city of Mina before Dhuhr. Perform Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, Isha, and Fajr of the 9th, shortening 4-rak'ah prayers without combining.

Day 2 • Peak of Hajj 9th Dhul Hijjah

Day 2: Day of Arafat & Muzdalifah

"Hajj is Arafat" (peace be upon him). Pilgrims move to the Plains of Arafat after sunrise, combine Dhuhr & Asr, and stand in Wuqoof making profound Du'a until sunset. After sunset, proceed to Muzdalifah for night stay and pebble collection.

  • Collect 49 / 70 Jamarat pebbles
Day 3 • Eid Day 10th Dhul Hijjah

Day 3: Yawm an-Nahr (Eid al-Adha)

Return to Mina from Muzdalifah before sunrise. Stone the Great Jamarah (Jamarah al-Aqabah) with 7 pebbles, perform Qurbani (animal sacrifice), shave/trim hair (Halq/Taqseer), and perform Tawaf al-Ifadah & Sa'i at the Ka'bah.

  • Tawaf al-Ifadah & Sa'i at Masjid al-Haram
Day 4 11th Dhul Hijjah

Day 4: 1st Day of Tashreeq

Reside in Mina camp. After Zawal (solar noon), walk to the Jamarat complex and stone all three pillars in sequence: Jamarah al-Sughra (Small), Jamarah al-Wusta (Middle), and Jamarah al-Kubra (Big), throwing 7 pebbles at each with Takbeer.

  • Stone all 3 Jamarat (21 pebbles total)
  • Supplication after 1st and 2nd Jamarah
  • Stay overnight in Mina camp
Day 5 12th Dhul Hijjah

Day 5: 2nd Day of Tashreeq

Stone all three Jamarat after Zawal with 21 pebbles. Pilgrims who wish to depart Mina early (Ta'ajjul) may leave for Makkah before sunset. Those staying continue to earn immense spiritual rewards for the 13th.

  • Option to complete rites or remain for Day 6
  • Return to Makkah 5-Star Hotel
Day 6 • Farewell 13th Dhul Hijjah

Day 6: Final Stoning & Tawaf al-Wada

For those staying the full 3 days of Tashreeq, stone all three Jamarat after Zawal. Upon final departure from the sacred city of Makkah al-Mukarramah, perform the poignant Farewell Circumambulation (Tawaf al-Wada).

  • Final stoning of 3 Jamarat (21 pebbles)
  • Tawaf al-Wada (Farewell Tawaf) at Ka'bah
  • Completion of a Hajj Mabroor (Insha'Allah)
